Welcome
to the Resource Center
Mrs. Lucretia Sciarra Teacher
Saints Felicitas and Perpetua School’s
Resource Center is open to all grade levels. Small groups of students are given
instruction in the form of remediation and enrichment in any subject area. In the upper grades, the main focus is
math. For grades 1 – 7: Saxon Math is utilized; for grades 7 and 8:
Prentice Hall Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 are stressed after Saxon Math 87 is
completed in the 7th grade. In addition materials from other sources
are used. The Learning Center
has a tremendous library of Marcy Cook math, which not only makes learning very
effective but is also a lot of fun.
Students enjoy coming to the Resource
Center for its
comfortable setting for learning. It is
also known as the gummi worm capital of the school!
MATH LAB: Monday – Friday 7:15 – 8:00 This
is an opportunity for any student from any grade level to receive extra
help. Students must arrive at 7:15 to be
admitted into the Resource
Center; they will also
sign an attendance roster to verify their presence. This is a tremendous opportunity for students
to reinforce their math skills and to ask questions from assigned classwork or homework.
