Dear Parents,

Welcome back to Saint Felicitas and Perpetua School.  To all, I pray that each day this year will reveal the love our Heavenly Father has for each of you and that it will be enveloped in joy as you watch your child continue to mature spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally.

My name is Sister Grace Helena.  I am a Carmelite Sister of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles and will be the school’s Religion Coordinator and Religion Teacher for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.  I am very happy to be here this year!

This year will be filled with many moments of revelation for your child as they grow deeper in the understanding of their faith and the responsibility that goes with this knowledge.  As parents, you are the primary educators of your child’s faith formation; with this understanding, I wish to express my gratitude ahead of time for the opportunity and privilege to teach your child and work in partnership with you.

Your decision to send your child to Saints Felicitas and Perpetua School shows your dedicated interest in developing your child’s love for the sacraments.  Our monthly times of Adoration before our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, monthly school Masses, and extra prayer services throughout the liturgical cycles of the year are ways we hope to foster in your child’s soul a great love for our Lord.  These inestimable times of prayer will also open the doors of their hearts to say ‘yes’ to the vocation our Lord has planned for them.  As you know, these times of prayer do not substitute for Sunday Mass or frequenting the Sacrament of Reconciliation on their own.  These sacraments must be attended regularly – and the graces that flow from them will be the greatest support for you and your child as you walk through the ups and downs of your daily life!

Be assured of my prayers for you, your child and those you love.  Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have questions or concerns.  May our Blessed Mother shower you with every grace and blessing as we begin this new school year.

                                                          In His Merciful Heart,

“Form a beautiful and rich tabernacle to our Lord

in your heart

and then do not let Him go.

In that way you will always have Him with you.”

~Venerable Mother Luisita~
